Short answer
Before uploading a PDF for printing, open the exact exported file and check page size, page order, readable text, comments, blank pages, scale-sensitive content and whether the file is allowed to be printed. A PDF preserves layout better than many editable files, but it can still contain the wrong page size or unwanted content.
Is the PDF the final file?
Use the exported PDF that will actually be printed, not the Word, PowerPoint or Excel file you exported from. Small differences can appear after export.
Check the first page, final page and any page with tables, charts, Arabic text, signatures or small labels.
Does the PDF page size match the order?
A PDF can be A4, A3, letter size or a custom size. Check the document dimensions before selecting the paper size in the print builder.
Adobe's PDF print guidance distinguishes options such as Actual size and Fit. Actual size avoids scaling, while Fit changes the page to the printable area.
What can still go wrong with a PDF?
The wrong file version, unexpected blank pages, cropped margins, low-resolution images and tiny scaled text can all survive inside a PDF.
If exact scale matters, write that requirement clearly and verify the size before relying on the printed output.
